DIM SUM DOLLIES: THE HISTORY OF SINGAPORE is FABULOUS!!!

I'm really glad that we went for it. the money is well spent! Also I find that we are very lucky that we manage to get a seat that is so near the stage at the very last minute. And although I paid the same amount the other time for PHANTOM, this time I got to sit much much nearer to the stage with some rich taitais in front of us (: The music was good. The vocals of the casts were amazingly good. And the lor mai guys are cute!

Once again, I would like to say that this play is WOW! GREAT! They have everything from the 7% GST to the Youth Olympics to celebrity hit-and-run accidents to the integrated resorts to CHIJ's notorious mini-skirts. Its like a crash course on everything that is Singaporean.
Many parts of the play left me with deep impressions. All the songs are still humming in my head. Sang Nila Utama~ Also some jokes like in the beginning of the show, a mat-style rocker Sang Nila Utama who was told to stop relaxing in a corner and find a new city (something to note his girlfriend is called Siti) and with his super duper mat accent. My favourite is still the Indian man (Hossen Leong) with his cow, and his accent. Saying that his employer is very thoughtful as he was afraid that they will feel lonely so he put 600 of them in a 1 sq metre room. haha! And he also mention that during their free time they sing, dance and sometimes also hold hands. hahahahaha! And I especially love the Macik accent of Pam!

At the 2nd half of the show, they even gave out free Singapore flags. It maybe too early or too late to celebrate but the DIM SUM DOLLIES said it can also be a celebration for the winning bid to host the Youth Olympics. Quintessentially red, white and proud.
